11 серпня. День хіп-хопу

Це свято, яке вшановує культурний рух, що сформувався в США в 1970-х роках та відтоді став глобальним феноменом. Хіп-хоп включає в себе елементи музики, танцю, мовлення та графіки. Хіп-хоп почався як культурний рух в районах Нью-Йорка, зокрема в Бронксі та Гарлемі, серед афроамериканської та латиноамериканської молоді. Він виник як спосіб вираження соціальних, політичних та культурних проблем. Музична складова хіп-хопу включає речитатив (реп), бітбоксинг, ді-джеїнг та продюсування музики. Хіп-хоп музика стала платформою для вираження особистих думок, життєвого досвіду та соціальних проблем.
