Rain Day

Rain Day

July: Movement & Journeys

Rain Day is a fun and unusual celebration that focuses on the importance of rain in our lives. It began in the United States in the 19th century, when people wanted to celebrate the role of rain in farming and nature. Rain helps plants grow, fills rivers, and supports life on Earth. In many cultures, rain is seen as a symbol of renewal and hope. Today, Rain Day reminds people to appreciate natural weather and understand how important water is for the planet.

The word of the day:  drizzle (noun)/ˈdrɪz.əl/

Meaning: rain in very small, light drops
