International Day of Families

May: Learning How to Learn

International Day of Families highlights the importance of families in society. It was created by the United Nations to raise awareness about social, economic, and cultural issues affecting families. Families can look different around the world, but they all provide love, support, and protection. In many cultures, family traditions and values are very important and are passed from generation to generation. This day encourages people to spend time with their families and think about how to create stronger and happier communities.

The word of the day:  relative (noun)/ˈrel.ə.tɪv/

Meaning: a person who is part of your family.

Example: I have many relatives in Ukraine.
