This day honors the soldiers and officers of the National Guard who protect Ukraine and its people. The National Guard was first created in 1991, after Ukraine became independent, to help keep peace and security in the country. On this day, people remember the bravery and dedication of the guards. There are ceremonies and events to show respect and thank them for their service. The day also teaches young people about the importance of protecting their country and working together as a community.
