1 листопада. День усіх святих

Це свято почали відзначати ще у VIII столітті, коли Папа Григорій III присвятив цей день пам’яті святих мучеників. У багатьох країнах воно має урочистий і водночас сімейний характер. Люди запалюють свічки на могилах близьких і згадують тих, хто відійшов. Цікаво, що напередодні святкують Хелловін (All Hallows’ Eve).
