International Children’s Day

June: Stories That Unite Us

International Children’s Day began in the 20th century to promote children’s rights, safety, and happiness. After World War II, many children were left without homes or families, so countries started to focus more on protecting young people. Today, this day is both a celebration and a reminder. In many cultures, children receive gifts, take part in festivals, and enjoy special activities. At the same time, organizations use this day to talk about important issues like education, health, and equality. International Children’s Day shows how different cultures value children as the future of society.

The word of the day:  innocence (noun)/ˈɪnəsəns/

Meaning: being pure, free from guilt

Example: Children bring the innocence and joy to the world.
